Do what I have to do, I guess
Mike thinks I'm crazy (what's new??) but I've been putting a winter hat on Autumn to feed her in the mornings. Hey, it makes sense! She's feeding herself her oatmeal and it can get a little messy. As part of breakfast, Autumn also gets fruit and a granola bar that she insists on dipping in my morning cuppa tea because she sees me do it sometimes...now that can get messy. She just forgets that she has hair or something, gets excited, and then smears oatmeal, fruit, and granola all in her hair. I got tired of keeping a fine toothed comb in the kitchen and combing the crud out of her hair before it dries there!

Yummm, looks slimy, yet satisfying! Good call on the hat!
Does that work? I'm imagining my kids pulling off the hat wiping out their bowl with it, and still getting food in their hair.
Haha--the hat works for Autumn but might not for other personalities. She fought it the first day and the little the next but ignored it after that. I've even cut back on how often she wears it while eating since she seems to have stopped rubbing stuff in her hair.
I have some leftover laminated cotton and kind of toyed with the idea of making a "feeding hat" out of that. I decided that might be a little *too* weird.

I need to make a nom nom nom tag...
