Yay Warm Weather, Yay Smiley Faces!

Oh, my gosh, you guys. Autumn has had THE BEST WEEK EVER. She got all smiley faces in conduct and came home awash in stickers every day. Friday, I read to her class and brought her a very special meal: mac and cheese from Panera! She loves cheese but can't have much so this was a big deal. I guess we hadn't ever given her mac and cheese from Panera before because she kept going, "this is so good. Why is this mac and cheese so good?"


And this weekend, we re-organized the playroom, planted flowers and had Kyle and Lindsay over for dinner. Autumn totally set the table with place mats, napkins, forks and knives--we didn't need the butter knives but she wanted two utensil so it'd be like a "real table." She made her own lunch and snack for tomorrow (with an assist from Papa) And then after? Went up, got in her pjs, and brushed her teeth. See what I mean? Crazy.


What's up with her being so big? Just a couple years ago, when we first moved into this house, that shirt she's wearing above was a dress!! And now she's setting tables and making her lunch. STOP TIME STOP!!!!


Sigh. Speaking of Kyle and Lindsay, Autumn is loving being a "big cousin" and is really, really impatient to be a big sister (again). She's been great with Ellie!


It's funny, though, Lindsay brought Ellie over to let Autumn feed her. Autumn had gone over there to visit but Ellie was asleep. Unfortunately, Autumn had just rediscovered one of her old toys that I had put away and, after feeding Ellie a bit, she said, "I would rather go play Einsteins." :P Mike finished feeding Miss  Ellie.


I'm really glad Autumn had such a great week! She had a short run of chattering too much at school (I'm shocked, I CANNOT IMAGINE where she got that) and had some not-smiley-faces and it was getting her down. But I tell you what, she rocked this week!! Go, Autumn!

OH. And if you've had a bad day or week, watch this video. I had forgotten about it and how awesome it is but I'm listening to Pandora right now (Neon Trees station!!) and the song came on...so, yeah, I had to share it!!
