Recovery Week

This week I have spent most of my time being a blob on the sofa. :) I had hernia repair surgery on Tuesday and it knocked me out of life a little bit harder than I was expecting! I am very thankful to Mike's parents who ferried Autumn to and from school and kept her for me while I sat around aching. I did have her around this week for brief spurts, otherwise, I would have had some serious Autumn withdrawal.


Who wouldn't miss that grin?? She came home to stay on Friday so this weekend we had lots of Autumn and Mama time. We went to the library, had a pajama day, ate popcorn, played in the tub....
 

Penny got her that pool ring and Autumn loves to play with it in the tub. It seems a little strange but I can't bring myself to tell her no, haha.


Tonight for the last event of our weekend, Autumn and I watched Ponyo together. Mike joined us for the scary bits when Autumn wasn't sure she wanted to go on. You can see her face during one of these times, in a photo I present to you in black and white to spare you the full color horror of how bad I look. :P Really, I just look ill with no makeup and having been under the weather. One funny thing, she's been cracking me up. She'll ask to look at my tummy where the doctor glued me back together and then she'll be all, "ewwwwwwwwwwwww, gross mama!"
