Public Service Announcement: Bananas Are Dangerous

I didn't feel well most of this week. Not nearly as bad as the last time, but other than teaching, I pretty much just kind of existed, haha. So I don't have a ton of photos. But...I don't think I blogged about this. I'm just gonna post this right here:

Yep. Our daughter. First known child to get a banana related eye injury. It isn't even like she was waving it around or anything. She says she was throwing it away but wasn't very clear about how the banana poked her in the eye. It had to be a pretty epic poke, too. We iced it after she got home, too, but it still looked like it was going to become a black eye. It stayed just red, though. My mom insists that someone must have punched Autumn but...I don't think so. There seems to be a lot of witnesses that the banana was the culprit plus, really? I can't imagine making up a story that I got poked by a banana and then kept the tale consistent through so many people asking, "you what?" It's good that the banana didn't actually give her more than a sore, red eye. Because the next day? School pictures.

That was as good a picture as I was going to get. She absolutely would not pose or move in a normal manner, hahaha. Here's a fun one:

I took that on the way home from school the day it flurried. Or iced. It wasn't really snow or sleet. But, Autumn was pretty happy about it. Especially when she got a little on her tongue!

Do you like all her colors? We've been helping a friend out and taking care of her cat while she's out of town. Mike took Autumn on Saturday and he sent us this picture of Autumn trying to get Holyfield off the top of the car so she could pet her (best cat name ever--she's missing part of her ear). I cracked up because Autumn is like a kaleidoscope of colors and patterns.

And last, but not least, have some pipsqueak. Mike has fallen in love with this little guy. I catch him watching it alllll the time. Too cute! Both of them!

(don't forget Passing Pinwheels! A lot going on over there)
