Spriiiing Breaaaaak!

Over Spring Break we got to go to the beach!

And it was seriously chilly! I think it was warmer in Memphis than it was in our part of Florida!

Autumn eventually got over the REALLY COLD WIND.

She even paddled in the water a bit. Mike and I just kind of stared at her in disbelief because, omg, that water was cooooooold.

I'm sure no one is shocked that I never quite got over the cold. I only took off the fleece I was wearing because Mike and I were running around kicking a ball against the wind. As soon as I stopped running, I got cold again, haha. On the plus side, that was enough of a workout that my legs hurt the next day!

Autumn stayed warm by digging for treasure. She was very specific, too, gold treasure that looks like circles. She comforted herself with a couple shells instead. :P She had a pretty good hole going!

Because there weren't very many days warm enough to go to the beach, we swam a lot in the pool and played with Miss Ellie who did a great job on her first trip!

We also went to this little amusement park in Orange Beach. Autumn had so much fun on the go karts. She went on the kid train, the small ferris wheel, and the carousel but this was definitely the highlight. I tried to talk Mike into the two of us doing this bungee swinging thing but he wouldn't. :(

Really, she LOVED the go karts. And this is truly the worst photo anyone has taken of me in a very long time. Welcome to the Hairline that Requires Bangs. Man. But Autumn's face is fabulous. The had these great double carts with an extra steering wheel so she felt like she was really working.

We raced Mike and we were the only ones on the track so we had a blast. We got a bit of a head start on him and I tried to slow down to let him catch up but Autumn was having none of that! She would yell, "DON'T SLOW DOWN WE HAVE TO WIN!" So I took the corners wide and when Mike caught up to us we had so much fun.

Another afternoon, we went geo-caching. There was one in the parking lot right next to our building so we got that first. Then, P'd took us down the street to another one. The coordinates were not quite right so we had a bit of a hunt. Thank goodness P'd came! He's the one who spotted it and gave Autumn hints to find it.

And, too quickly, our vacation was over. Of course, on the morning we left? 75 degrees.

(ps, the pictures say passingpinwheels because I forgot to turn off the watermarks on my uploader. But do stop by! Lots of new posts, including my new $5 wall art!)
